Nonprofit Audit Management

Making the complex simple

A good audit firm is essential to strong fiscal oversight.  In addition to the monitoring and reporting function, your auditor should be viewed as a resource because they provide information that is useful to both management and the Board of Directors.  Choosing an audit firm and managing the audit process effectively requires an understanding of the complexity of the finances and its funding sources.  We will support management and Board of Directors throughout your audit process and beyond.

  • Recommend bidding cycles and types of audit firms based upon your financial structure and organization needs.  Send your audit out to bid to ensure you are receiving the best possible pricing from a CPA firm that most closely fits your needs.
  • Review all materials produced at the end of the year to ensure they are accurate, timely and contain the appropriate information.
  • Work with management and/or the Board to ensure they understand the audit reports.
  • Help you develop and implement a business office manual for use by your staff which will be the key to a successful audit or review.
